ABA therapy in West Park

Multicultural Development Services Center (MCDS) is proud to serve the families of West Park, one of Broward County's newest municipalities. Incorporated in 2005 from the established neighborhoods of Carver Ranches, Lake Forest, and Utopia, West Park carries the motto "The City of Positive Progression." This forward-thinking spirit aligns perfectly with our mission to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

West Park is a community deeply invested in its youth. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, over 42% of households in the city have children under the age of 18. This family-centric environment was nationally recognized when the city was named a "2011 Playful City USA" for its commitment to increasing play opportunities for children. At MCDS, we understand the power of play in learning and development, incorporating play-based strategies into our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs.

With a population of just over 15,000, West Park maintains a close-knit feel while reflecting the rich diversity of South Florida. The community is comprised of a majority of Black or African American residents (55.3%) and a significant Hispanic and Latino population (32.3%). MCDS honors this diversity by providing culturally and linguistically competent care, ensuring every family feels understood and respected.

We recognize that for families in West Park, convenience and accessibility are key. That's why MCDS brings ABA therapy directly to you. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and therapists provide services in the natural, comfortable settings of your home, school, or local parks. This in-home and community-based model reduces travel stress and integrates therapeutic goals into your child's daily routines. For added flexibility, we also offer telehealth services. Under the guidance of our leadership, including Executive Director Damaris Baez and BCBA Hiram Aguilera, we are dedicated to being a trusted partner in your child's developmental journey.
