Welcome to Parrish, a growing community in northwestern Manatee County with a rich agricultural history. MCDS is proud to offer our ABA therapy services to families throughout the Parrish area, providing support right where you live, learn, and play.

Originally known as Oak Hill, the area was established as a homestead in the mid-19th century and later named for Crawford Parrish, a rancher and orange farmer who settled here in 1868. For much of its history, Parrish was a small but vital shipping center for citrus and vegetables, with a recorded population of just 721 in 1939. More recently, since the late 2000s, Parrish has seen significant residential growth as former farmlands have been developed, welcoming many new families to the community.

As Parrish expands, MCDS understands that accessible and flexible support for children with autism is more important than ever. For families living in this unincorporated community, which blends historic roots with new subdivisions, traveling for consistent appointments can be a challenge. Our service model is designed to alleviate that burden.
